Child Teen Adult

Child, Teen, and Adult Therapist in Victoria, BC

With years of experience supporting children, teens, and adults, I have a real soft spot for working with young people as young as six. I also value the depth and complexity that adults bring to therapy.

Every person is different, so I tailor the work to you, not the other way around. My goal is to create a safe, caring space where you (or your child) can express yourself openly, explore emotions, and grow at your own pace.

Services Offered

Explore the range of therapeutic support available to you.

Child Therapy

Child therapy gives kids a safe, calm space to share feelings and make sense of their world. Along the way, they often build stronger self-esteem, emotional awareness, and resilience that supports them as they grow.

Teen Therapy

Being a teen can be a lot — and being the parent of a teen can be, too. If things feel heavy, confusing, or just too much, it's okay to ask for support. You're not alone in figuring this out.

Adult Therapy

Whether you're dealing with anxiety, depression, trauma, or a major life transition, I'm here to support you as you move toward healing and self-understanding.

Anxiety Therapy

Anxiety can feel relentless — racing thoughts, worry that won't stop, or a body that stays on edge. Anxiety therapy offers practical tools and deeper understanding to help you find steadier ground.

Trauma Therapy

Trauma can shape how we see ourselves and the world long after the event itself. Trauma therapy provides a safe, paced space to process difficult experiences and begin to heal.

Family Counselling

When family relationships feel strained or communication breaks down, counselling can help. I work with parents and children navigating conflict, transitions, and the challenges of everyday family life.

Acceptance & Commitment Therapy

ACT helps you change your relationship with difficult thoughts and emotions rather than fighting them, so they have less control over how you live.

Motivational Interviewing

Feeling stuck or ambivalent about change? MI is a collaborative, non-directive approach that helps you clarify what matters and move forward at your own pace.

Getting Started

Is Therapy the Right Step for You?

Many people ask themselves, "Could a counsellor help me with this problem?" or "Are my problems big enough to go to therapy for?" The honest answer is: you do not need to be in crisis to benefit from counselling.

Therapy with a Registered Clinical Counsellor is for anyone struggling to work through life's challenges on their own, whether you are dealing with anxiety, low mood, a difficult transition, or simply feeling stuck. Counselling helps you gain the insight and tools to move forward when going it alone isn't working.

If you're not sure where to start, that's okay - reaching out is often the hardest part. Book a Free 15-Minute Consultation and we'll figure out the rest together.

Meet Your Registered Clinical Counsellor

Paul Cellarius (RCC, CCC, MA)

I work with children, teens, and adults who feel overwhelmed, stuck, or unsure of themselves, and who want a steadier way forward. In therapy with me, you’ll find warmth, gentle humour, and a calm, grounded space where you don’t have to have things figured out to begin.

My training is in depth psychology through Pacifica Graduate Institute, where the focus is on understanding the deeper emotional patterns that shape our lives. I am also trained in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI) — approaches that help people relate differently to difficult thoughts and feelings, clarify what truly matters to them, and take meaningful steps forward.

I’ve worked extensively with adults navigating anxiety, emotional pain, and life transitions, as well as with children and adolescents in school and community settings. I’m told I am steady, thoughtful, and attuned — especially when emotions run high. We’ll move at a pace that feels right for you, combining practical tools with deeper reflection, always guided by your values and strengths.

Starting counselling can feel like a big step. If you’re looking for a therapist who is warm, present, and genuinely invested in your growth, I’d be glad to walk alongside you as you find your way.
